I have brown hair and i would like to either dye it red, not a bright red, or red highlights. I want to do this at home, i don't have the money to go to a professional. I need some tips.

Well it depends on how dark your hair is, if its a pretty light brown then you should be good to just buy the dye in the box and follow the directions...If its a dark brown then you will probably have to strip it(bleach it) before you do the box dye or else you'll just get dark brown with a slight red tint. If you do have dark brown hair...I really advise you to just save up the money and get it done professionally(I know of a few hairstylists, if you've gone to them long enough, if you bring in the hair dye, theyll dye it for you with that and it wont cost as much as it would regularly...idk if you know anyone like that or not though)...Hope this helps!:D
