I've used anti fade shampoo but it doesnt seem to work. What's the best way to keep red hair dye from fading?
I always prefer Green hair dye personally.

It fades lessWhat's the best way to keep red hair dye from fading?
A) Try a color depositing shampoo like bumble and bumble red shampoo and conditioner.

B) Wear a shower cap in the shower and wash your hair separate in cool or cold water. As cold as you can stand.

C) Avoid sun, tanning beds etc. or at least wear a hat or something. Also use a color protecting styling product before you blow dry or iron your hair.

D) Red is the first to fade and the hardest to keep. Try doing all these things and ask you stylist about demi permanent toners. They don't damage the hair as much which in turn will prevent fading because healthy hair holds color better. If you are doing your own color, go to Sally's and ask about the demi permanent and mix with the lowest volume peroxide.(Usually 6-10)
re-dying it?
