I want to do my top layer turquoise or bright red.I've looked on every website. And i want it to be permanent. My friend used manic panic and she said it sucks. I've looked at Special Effects, but their website says its only semi-permanent. So can anyone give me a store or website to look at? thanks.Where can i find a bright PERMANENT turquoise or red hair dye.?
yeah i agree manic panic sucks.
i did part of my hair pink last year and it started to fade about 2 weeks in.
i found another dye at walgreens called splat and even though it is still considered semi-permanent, the blue dye been in my hair for about three weeks
it comes with it's own bleach too, but i should have gotten a stronger bleach because i have dark brown hair.
it stains everything though so be very careful.
i ended up staining the bathroom sink and counter as well as the tub.Where can i find a bright PERMANENT turquoise or red hair dye.?
You cannot, because permanent dye doesn't actually dye hair like semi-permanent color does. Color of hair is determined by the concentration and number of molecules in the hair shaft. When you dye your hair darker all it is doing is adding molecules. Bleach disperses the molecules in the hair shaft, lightening the color. So permanent color can only come in natural colors because it goes up and down on one scale. Punky Colour is a much better product, Manic Panic Sucks. I had Punky Colour in my hair for four months and it never faded, I had to bleach it out. You can get it at www.follica.com.
You can't find it, because it doesn't exist. You won't find permanent turqoise - its so far from natural colours it can't be permanent.
You can get permanent bright red, but the be honest, they're going to fade and you're much better off with special effects.
Manic panic doesn't suck if you do it right, but special effects or punky colour is better. The great thing is, these dyes are GOOD for your hair, they don't contain peroxide and actually add more substance to the hair and condition it. And if your just doing your top layer, one pot of these dyes will last like 6 or 7 applications.
Turqoise/blues are the hardest colour to maintain and fade quickly. But bright red is the easiest bright colour to get and maintain.
Heres a website with LOTS of info on this kind of thing - trust me, its great ;)
