Does non-permanent red hair dye wash off easier than permanent hairdye?

Permanent red hair dye is notorious for fading but never completely coming off (it leaves behind a light ';shiny new penny'; hue.) So I was wondering, if I were to dye my hair with a NONpermanent red hair dye (like Natural Instincts by Clairol) would it in time completely fade out of my hair? I like dying my hair red but I hate the brassy color it turns into...Does non-permanent red hair dye wash off easier than permanent hairdye?
a non permanent dye will more likely rinse out completely - tho i have heard horror stories of temporary black hair dye that lingers for MUCH longer...

And to avoid the brassy penny color - go to a beauty supply store (like Sally Beauty supply) and pick up an additive to use when you dye your hair. The employees are very knowledgeable and should be able to help you find the perfect thing.

Also, when you dye w/ a permanent red dye, you can help the color last by washing it in cool water only, and wash it every 2 days instead of daily.

Hope this helps!!

Lol, do you mean semi-permanent and temporary? Yeah, temporary is less likely to stain you hair. But it wont work as well, and its REALLY sticky! So if you have a dark hair color, Id just take the risk....
Um, well, yes, that's the point of NONpermanent dyes. That they're.... you know. Not permanent.
