How do i get the red hair dye out of my hair and can i dye it browny/blond ?

I died my hair red using schwarzkopf hair dye about a month ago, its faded a lot but how do i get rid of it completly? and can i dye it light brown over the top?what will that look like?will the roots look different to the rest? thanksxHow do i get the red hair dye out of my hair and can i dye it browny/blond ?
Be careful if you go lighter. Brown would probably be ok, but do not go blonde. It will turn your hair orange from having the red undertone. I would go with a natural brown. I've also tried to dye my hair a cool color to try to balance out the red. Instead, I had reddish and greenish highlights. If you go with a neutral color (brown), it will probably be really pretty because it will have a reddish tint in light. In the shade, it will probably just look like a brown. I've also heard tea tree oil helps to strip out the color. I'm not sure if it's true. You might want to get a second opinion. Your roots should be alright, but I'm not sure exactly how different they are from the color you are going to dye it or the color of the tips. Ive used this hair dye, in both passion red and cyber purple. If you want to do it yourself you will need hair bleach/lightener.


I use ';born blonde';.


Using this will make your hair go orange-blonde colour , which can be dyed over! I have done this myself and it does work. I have had my hair a range of colours from platinum to black and have done them all myself!
