i know what you're going through, red is a b*tch to get out of your hair!
i would suggest going to a professional and they'll get it out for you, but if you really don't want to, i think the best way to do it would be to get an ash based color. the way you know it's ashed based is that it will say like ';medium ash brown'; on the box or something. ash is green based so the green will cancel out the red in your hair. just make sure the brown color you get is darker than the red in your hair, because color cannot lift color. i tried this and it worked for me.
good luck!
:)How can I get all the red hair dye out of my hair?
.YahooAn, You shoulnt answer a question when you obviosly do not know what you are talking about. If that girl had listened to you she would've been dying her hair black and really messing it up. It's not stupid to dye your her red yourself, you just need to strand test.

Because of the high pigmentation that is in your natural colour, (everyone's hair contains the red pigment and your's just happens to have alot) the dye is going to stick. They only way to get it out is to either dye it black and leave it to fade then dye over brown, or go to the hairdressers and have it stripped.
I hope that's a lesson to you, never dye your hair red yourself! Most stupid thing you could do to your hair.
Use ColorFix, it will take all of the dye out of your hair and wont damage it. You can get it at your local Sally Beauty Supply or online.
