What's the best shade/brand of radiant dark red hair dye?

I want to dye my hair a deep ruby sort of color, but I want advice on a shade. My natural color is blonde but since then I've dyed it medium brown with highlights. (That's why I want to go darker, because lighter just won't work) I want specific brand and shade advice. (Stuff you find in the drugstore, not fancy stuff.) Oh honey, have I got a shade for you! Try Egyptian Plum or any kind of burgundy. It's awesome. I've been using it for years. Best brand wise, look for coupons, sales (Walgreen's usually has some), and decide if you want the kind that washes out in a matter of time or ';permanent';, which has to grow out. Right now I'm using Clairol Balsam lasting color, Burgundy(vino). Find one that's got a primo conditioner for after the coloring, I used one with an avocado base that was amazing.
